Florida Hospital Tampa Facade

Project Description: Stevens Construction updated 202,732 square feet of exterior vertical wall surface at the existing facade of the Florida Hospital Tampa facility. The renovation included replacement of the glass and glazing system to a new impact resistant curtain wall glass and glazing system, waterproofing existing wall surfaces, stucco, and addition of architectural metal cladding, architectural features, and lighting.
The entire project occurred while the hospital remained in operation.

Florida Hospital Apopka Lab Upgrades

Project Description: The Florida Hospital CT Renovation Project consisted of the interior renovation of 600 SF of existing Hospital space to create a new CT procedure room, patient restroom, family waiting area, and control room area. This project was constructed adjacent to occupied areas of the Hospital and Type 3 ICRA was required and in place for the duration of the project.

The Equipment was provided by Philips and with this installation of a new Ingenuity CT the Hospital now utilizes a CT Suite with two fully operational CT machines that share a control room. A new AHU, Existing Building Structural Modification, Upgraded CEP Electrical Gear, and the rerouting of smoke compartment walls were also part of this project.

Florida Hospital Carrollwood Orthopedic Unit

Project Description: The Florida Hospital Carrollwood Orthopedic unit included the interior demolition of the entire 5th floor and reconstruction of a new orthopedic unit. The 17,579 SF newly renovated space features 25 private patient rooms, nurse stations, rehabilitation and associated spaces.

St. Mark's Surgery Center OR Addition

Project Description: Stevens Construction added a 4th operating room to an existing surgery center in Fort Myers. This project occured while the surgery center remained in operation, classifying it as a Type C, Class 2 (High Risk) ICRA project.

Garramone Plastic Surgery Renovation

Project Description: Stevens Construction coverted a former bank building to a 9,100 square-foot, luxury plastic surgery office with spa and wellness areas. Located on US 41 in Fort Myers, the two-story facility features exam rooms, spa rooms, procedure room, retail area, offices and a central atrium with a skylight.

Florida Hospital Carrollwood Cath Lab Renovation

Project Description: Stevens Construction recently completed renovation of an existing cath lab at Florida Hospital Carrollwood in Tampa. The project included upgrading of the finishes, updating of MEP systems and a scrub sink addition. New electrical and data outlet, as well as bracing and power were also added for the new OR lights.

Florida Hospital Altamonte Springs Pain Management

Project Description: Located at 711 State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs, the 5000 SF project underwent extensive value engineering prior to construction starting. The project includes a total build-out of the ground floor, upper floor and fire sprinkler upgrade of the entire five-story building.

Cape Health Surgery Center

Project Description: Stevens Construction converted a vacant, existing surgery center into a 5,124 SF surgical facility featuring one operating room, four pre-op beds, six phase one recovery beds and three phase two recovery beds. The project was licensed and inspected by AHCA.

Florida Hospital Tampa Pepin Angio Suite

Project Description: Stevens Construction completed an interior renovation for the Pepin Heart Institute Building within the Florida Hospital Tampa campus. The project included a renovation of an existing cath lab into a neuroradiology biplane lab with a Siemans Artis zee Biplane system, an innovative imaging system that provides physicians detailed three-dimensional views during angiography and neuroradiology procedures.
Construction occured while the Heart Institute remained in operation and required class IV ICRA measures, the most strict of guidelines for infection control during construction.

Vascular Specialists of Central Florida

Project Description: Stevens Construction completed an interior renovation for an angiography lab at the Vascular Specialists of Central Florida in Orlando. The healthcare project included converting two procedure rooms into one imaging/procedure room, converting a vacant office into a nurse station and remodeling a waiting area into a recovery room.

Heritage Institute Renovation

Project Description: The renovation at Heritage Institute is comprised of an interior build-out for the dental assisting and dental radiology programs at the Heritage Institute. Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center ED Renovation

Project Description: Stevens Construction completed a 18,651 SF emergency department renovation at the Sebring campus of Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center. Located at 4200 Sun N' Lake Blvd., the multi-phased project involves the renovation of 32 exam rooms, including two trauma areas, isolation exam rooms and three nurse's stations. The project was licensed and inspected by AHCA.

Eye Specialists Cornea and Laser Center

Project Description: Eye Specialists Cornea and Laser Center included the addition of 4,600 square feet, to total a 10,580 square feet ambulatory surgery center at completion. The center includes two operating rooms, recovery rooms, step-down recovery rooms, consultation areas, a patient lounge area and administrative offices.
This is an AHCA licensed project.

Glenview at Pelican Bay

Project Description: Construction was completed in two phases and entailed interior renovations of the 12-story Continuing Care Retirement Community, including the skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, located within Pelican Bay in Naples. The facility remained in operation during the renovation.

King's Crown Assisted Living Facility Renovations

Project Description: This project consists of over 24,000 square feet of renovations and additions to the existing four story King's Crown ALF located at Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Florida. Stevens Construction remodeled all of the common and resident recreation areas on all three floors. The ground floor was also renovated and expanded to accommodate additional resident recreation areas and support offices. This project was completed while the facility remained in operation.

Shell Point Midrise Entries Renovations

Project Description: This project consisted of the expansion and renovation of three midrise residence entries and is located on the island portion of the Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Florida. The project included converting the existing entry decks into useable outdoor living space for residents by constructing modern sun shade trellises and other attractive hardscape elements. These added hardscape elements blend in with and are part of an overall revitalization of the grand court yard which the three midrise residence buildings share.

This project won the 2008 Summit Award for Best Renovation

Florida Hospital 36-Bed Expansion

Project Description: This project consisted of the addition of over 50,000 square feet of new construction in Sebring. The first floor is 25,000 square feet of shell space with an additional 25,000 square feet as 36 patient rooms and associated support spaces.

This project was licensed and inspected by AHCA.

Stevens Construction was awarded the BIA Summit Award for this project.

Florida Hospital Medical Seascape Imaging South

Project Description: This project consisted of the complete interior and exterior renovation of an existing building located in Sebring. The newly renovated 11,000 square feet facility houses both an outpatient diagnostic center and medical offices.

Vascular Access and Intervention Center

Project Description: Stevens Construction retrofitted the facility to accommodate the addition of innovative, diagnostic healthcare technology from General Electric, Advanta, Welch Allyn and Stryker Medical. Located at 2450 Goodlette Frank Road, the Vascular Access and Intervention Center remained in operation during construction and serves as the offices of Dr. Rajasinghe and Dr. Chahwan.

Florida Heart Associates PET Scan

Project Description: The Florida Heart Associates renovation entailed the remodel of the existing space which included an upgrade of the electrical and air condition systems and reconfiguration of the space to accomodate a new diagnostic PET Scan. Florida Hospital Wauchula ER Renovation

Project Description: Construction of the FH Wauchula ER started in 2007 and was completed in three phases while the hospital remained in operation. Phase one included a pharmacy remodel, phase two involved demolition, restructuring of the emergency room and the addition of a nurse's station and storefront doors. Phase three was completion of the treatment rooms.

Florida Eye Health

Project Description: Florida Eye Health consisted of a 2,000 square feet remodel of existing office space into an optical center. The project is located in downtown Punta Gorda, Florida. The facility includes four exam rooms, testing lab, dilating area, visual field testing room, and an optical retail area.

Stevens Construction also built the Lehigh Acres office for Florida Eye Health.

Premier Surgery Center of Sarasota

Project Description: The Premier Surgery Center of Sarasota entailed a renovation of 20 rooms within the existing facility, located at 983 Beneva Road. Modifications included the reconstruction of restroom facilities to meet current ADA standards and numerous restorative enhancements. Stevens Construction also added two stage-two recovery rooms to the surgery center, which remained operational while construction occured.
