Stevens Construction Wins Seven Awards at 2009 Summit Awards

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 24, 2009) – Stevens Construction Inc. earned four Summit Awards and three additional honors at the fourth annual Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards event.

Stevens Construction won best hospitality project for the South Seas Island Resort kid’s pool, best healthcare project within two price divisions for Barnes Family Chiropractic and Florida Hospital Medical Office Building and Ambulatory Surgery Center and best charitable event for the Builders Care Tanksley renovation. The firm also received a merit award for the Lee County Emergency Medical Services Hangar Facility. Stevens Construction was recognized with awards of distinction for the Shell Point Retirement Community King’s Crown renovation and the Gorovoy Cornea Laser Center.
The Summit Awards program recognizes BIA members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism in the commercial construction industry throughout the year.

A panel of Orlando-area commercial construction professionals judged the projects for originality, quality of design, challenges, timeliness of completion and safety. Charitable events were judged on creativity and coordination of a special event and its impact to the local community.
