FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 5, 2006) – Mark Stevens, president of Stevens Construction Inc., has been elected to the Shady Rest Care Pavilion’s board of directors. As a board member, Stevens will head up the master planning for the renovation project of the facility’s existing buildings and assist with business development for the new facilities.

A Florida native, Stevens has managed or served as the project executive on more than 150 building projects with a combined value of more than $300 million. He has more than 20 years of construction experience and is the founder of Stevens Construction Inc. He holds a bachelor of science in building construction from the University of Florida, and is a state-licensed general contractor.

Stevens serves on the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Board of Directors, and also is the Chairman of the Commercial Contractors Council for the BIA.
