The design was based upon two principals: remove barriers and make the product the star according to Cadillac standards. Stevens Construction built a facility that allowed simple navigation for customers and staff; and enhanced the vehicles with lighting and materials, creating the ultimate Cadillac experience.
Stevens Construction demolished the existing showroom and built the two-story showroom and sales center incorporating all of the design requirements from General Motors. Additional remodeling by Stevens Construction included upgrades to fire and safety features throughout the service shop, complete remodel of the staff area and electrical and mechanical enhancements. Stevens Construction also added two additional service bays, giving the automotive dealership 33 total bays.
Stevens Construction recommended a machine room-less elevator versus a standard elevator, which provided cost savings but also additional space for the sales center.
The outcome resulted in the construction of a completely new 2-story, 37,677-square foot, state-of-the-art Cadillac sales and showroom, which created a new spectacular flagship facility for the entire DeVoe Family of automobile dealerships in Southwest Florida.
The biggest challenge was completing an extensive renovation, which included the demolition of the existing showroom, while keeping DeVoe Cadillac in operation during the 16-month project. Stevens Construction built a temporary service and sales center which kept operations running seamlessly.
Stevens Construction delivered this project two months early.
