Because of the company’s successful experience on similar projects, Dr. Timothy Verwest chose Stevens Construction for the construction of his new pediatric dental office.
During the design, Dr. Verwest had expressed that he wanted an operationally efficient facility which creates a playful and safe environment, appealing to his young patients.  These goals are evident in the final product.
Perfect for children anxious for a dental visit, the facility is well-equipped with amusing diversions to ensure a better experience for patients and parents.  The building exterior more resembles a kids’ museum than somewhere kids dread visiting.  The exterior features a giant wave bursting through the building with a jeep-riding whale and surfing alligator.
The interior is sprinkled with character sculptures, providing an fun atmosphere.   In the lobby, kids are greeted by brightly-colored surfboard video game consoles, suspended airplanes and pelicans and a 10-foot wave with a surfboarding dog for photo opportunities of waiting families.   Nestled in the corner of the lobby, lies the Kid’s Korner where children can play with iPads and puzzles built into the sandcastle sculptures.
Pediatric Dentistry has four private treatment rooms and an eight patient dental bay to serve both children and teens.  The dental bay incorporates an open concept with a 16-foot underwater scene with game consoles.
