Stevens Construction began their success in medical office building construction with Retina Health Center, a two-story, 22,000-square-foot facility and the company’s first major healthcare project.
Stevens Construction worked with the design team to incorporate lower cost materials and stay within the budget, while yielding the appearance and durability of high-cost materials. High-impact, low-energy glass windows were installed to reduce heating and cooling cost as well as provide protection against hurricane-strength winds.
The large curved front of the building follows the bend in Summerlin Road, while the rear of the building provides a welcoming covered entrance with a copper barreled vaulted roof. In the evening, the outdoor lighting washes across the building, creating an elegant ambiance. Once inside, patients enter a spacious lobby with high-contrast design features to make navigation easier for visually impaired patients.
